In KMG Barlau LLP, the compliance officer, together with representatives of the Compliance Service of JSC NC KazMunayGas, conducted a training seminar aimed at increasing the level of compliance culture and anti-corruption awareness of employees.

The seminar discussed topical topics: "On amendments and additions to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption", "Compliance verification of third parties" and "Anti-Corruption Policy of KMG Barlau LLP".

 

During the training, the key provisions of the Anti-Corruption Policy of KMG Barlau LLP were considered, including the principles of intolerance to corruption, the procedure for preventing and resolving conflicts of interest, as well as the duties of employees to comply with anti-corruption requirements. Additionally, the participants were provided with information about the operation of the Hotline at KMG Barlau LLP.

 

A separate section was devoted to the review of the latest amendments and additions to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption. New legislative requirements, measures of responsibility for corruption offenses and mechanisms for preventing corruption risks in the organization's activities were explained to the participants.

 

Also, as part of the training, participants got acquainted with the basic principles and procedures for conducting compliance checks of contractors, suppliers and other third parties. Special attention was paid to the issues of identifying and minimizing compliance risks, conducting a proper check of the business reputation of potential partners, as well as compliance with the requirements of the organization's internal regulatory documents.

 

Such events contribute to the development of the compliance control system, increase employee awareness and strengthen the principles of transparency, integrity and corporate responsibility in the Company.
