Works are carried out under License No. 186-GIN dated 21.12.2022, with the aim of studying the prospectivity of Carboniferous and Lower Permian deposits. The area of the licensed block is 9,889.58 km2.
Administratively, the Mugodzhar area is located within the Martuk, Kargaly, Aktobe, Alga, Khromtau, Mugalzhar districts of Aktobe Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the regional center, Aktobe.
As part of the work program carried out under the GIN, 2D CDP seismic field surveys totaling 2,669 linear km were conducted. Processing and interpretation of seismic data are currently underway.
Due to interest in the prospects of the Mugodzhar area, KMG Barlau LLP entered into agreements with Shell and Chevron granting the right to use geological information obtained within the framework of the geological study of the subsoil.
