The works are carried out on the basis of the 185-GIN license from 21.12.2022. in order to study the prospects of Cretaceous and Jurassic fields. The license area is 3,716.97 km2.
The Zharkyn area is administratively located on the territory of Mangistau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The regional center of Aktau is located to the south-west of the square at a distance of 100 km. Directly within the plot there are settlements – stations Tasmuryn, village Tigen, near the north of the village Kyzyn, Akshymyrau, Sheber, Tushykuduk and others.
In the north-west of the area, Kalamkas, Karazhanbas, North Buzachy, Karaturun, Zhalgyztobe fields are being developed, in the north-east – Arystan, Karakuduk, Komsomolskoye, Koltyk fields.
The program of work carried out within the framework of geological exploration of the subsoil is planned to conduct field seismic exploration of 2D Common depth point method (CDP) in the amount of 1,275 linear km, to determine further activities for the project.
